And here are some sample scenes from the audiobook for you to enjoy. My narrator, the very talented Pearl Hewitt, and I had great fun coming up with the different voices for all the characters!

I love the Scottish lilt, as well, but I have my “Siri voice” set on an Aussie male. What does that tell you?
Hah! I didn’t realise that you could set your Siri voice set to different accents. (Actually, I don’t know much about Siri – is it that GPS voice thing?)
Yes, so many people seem to love the Scottish accent. I could listen to John Hannah talk all day! 🙂
Best wishes,
Hsin-Yi
I love the Scottish accent, especially after Outlander, but Cary Grant could have read my grocery list to me and I would swoon. An authentic Southern accent is fun to listen to, but when people try to fake one it can get pretty weird.
Haha! Your comment made me laugh, Sally! 😀 Yes, I know what you mean about some men having the most gorgeous voices – you don’t really care what they’re reading.
Oh, that’s interesting about a fake vs authentic Southern accent. As a non-American, I never even realised that there could be a “fake” one! I suppose that any faked accent would probably sound strange to the native speakers of that accent. 🙂
Best wishes,
Hsin-Yi
Irish of course, I think it is very seductive. I listened to the audio teaser–very good–I will have to get it if I don’t win!!
Yes, I agree, Susan – the Irish accent is gorgeous too! I wonder what it is about Celtic accents that make them sound so attractive?
So pleased you enjoyed the audio sample!
best wishes,
Hsin-Yi
The Scottish is my favorite as well, perhaps from listening to all of those Hamish MacBeth audiobooks and watching Monarch of the Glen on DVD. 🙂
Oh, do you know, I haven’t had a chance to watch those yet? I keep meaning to – I’ve heard so many people say they love the series. It’s on my list and I must get around to it! 🙂
Best wishes,
Hsin-Yi
