Unfortunately, the audiobook version has been delayed due to to my narrator Pearl Hewitt being sick with COVID, but she’s hopefully on the road to recovery and the audio version should be released in the next few weeks.
Wrongfully Infused (Oxford Tearoom Mysteries ~ Book 11)
Things are eerily quiet at Gemma’s quaint English tearoom and she can’t understand why – until she learns about the trendy new “tea bar” that’s opened on the other side of the village. To her horror, she soon finds her customers being stolen and her business the target of sabotage. Meanwhile her mother’s newfound obsession with all things Asian means a whole new world of fluffy footwear and hazardous dinner encounters. But Gemma has bigger problems than trying to eat with chopsticks, when the ruthless rival owner is savagely murdered and she is considered the key suspect!
Now she’s in a real pickle, desperate to clear her name. And with her detective boyfriend accused of nepotism and under suspicion, Gemma is forced to tackle the case on her own. Luckily, she can still count on the help of the nosy Old Biddies, while the naughty antics of her tabby cat Muesli uncover some unexpected clues too!
As Gemma delves into a mystery where “East meets West”, familiar motives arise despite the difference between cultures. But with a full menu of suspects, from the aggrieved dentist with the strained smile to the belligerent chef who lost everything – not to mention a pair of estranged sisters hurt by the ultimate betrayal – she discovers that solving this case is no piece of cake…

I like all of them.
Fonds and Enemies
The Dough Must Go On
Bonbons and Broomsticks
My favorite is Apple Strudel Alibi because the Old Biddies are the best!
Hard to choose just one! But Muffins and Mourning Tea was a standout for me. I loved reading about Muesli’s new role as a therapy cat. And the Old Biddies’ Krav Maga class was hilarious! I love a book that makes me laugh out loud!
While every book is fantastic and I love them all, I do like Muffins and Mourning Tea since in this one the Biddies made me laugh so hard out loud, I had to read the passages to my husband because he didn’t know what made me laugh so much and of course, I loved Muesli a lot in this one too!
I love all of the books in this series but I enjoyed The Mouse Wonderful Time of Year (#10). Since this books takes into consideration the Christmas holiday, it provides my favorite seasonal time.
Muffins and Mourning Tea was one of my favorites because I like thereto be a lot of Muesli, but I have enjoyed them all.
Apple Strudel Alibi
I love the hilarious Old Biddies and Gemma’s relationship. Reading about Vienna and all the adventures they have.
I will say that I love all the books in the series!
Wrongfully Infused is my favourite but I do love them all! The latest was so different and I did learn so much about different foods from different cultures.
It is hard to pick a favorite book from this series. If I must, it would be the clever sleuthing by Gemma in The Mousse Wonderful Time of the Year. I also appreciate that a cat was adopted as a fur-ever friend at the end.
love the whole series, especially love the “old biddies” since I put myself in that category 😊. Bit upset about the “breakup” at the end of Wrongfully Infused. Hope they get back together in the next book.
I can’t pick just one, I’ve loved them all! ❤️
I don’t have a favorite because I haven’t started this series yet. You made Wrongfully Infused sound so exciting that I want to begin this series next. I’m already a devoted fan of the English Cottage Garden series and your Florida “sleuth” and her adorable aunt.
My daughter and I both love this entire series; it is wonderful to share the experience together! We would have to say book #1 -A Scone To Die For is our favorite because it is where all of the magic began for us. This is where all of the characters and settings and places began to take form in our minds and opened us up to all of H.Y. Hanna’s works, so it has to be on top! Thank you!
Towei and Error
Lots of ‘suspect’s’ keep popping all the way through.
Every new book in this series is my favorite because it’s a new adventure with some of my favorite characters. I look forward to each new book it all of your different series.
My favorites are Apple Strudel Alibi and Tea with Milk and Murder. I really enjoy the Austrian setting in Apple Strudel Alibi, and I also enjoy how Gemma’s mother causes so much trouble with her online shopping habit in some of her other books.
I love them all – each new one is my favorite until the next one comes out!
When every book in the series is brilliant, it is very difficult to pick one. But, because, somehow, each book seems to be better than the one before, my choice is Wrongfully Infused. It is brilliantly written (they all are), but I particularly enjoyed the way another culture was introduced seamlessly, and the part it played in the story.
Wrongfully Infused is my favorite in the series so far! Loved learning about a new culture and enjoyed stressing about the very modern realities of running a business. 💕
A delightful series of mystery and laughter. My favorite is Till Death Do Us Tart.
I too am going with muffins and morning tea… any book that makes me lol… I reread!!!! Thank you for sharing your talent!
A Scone To Die For
I loved this book: it was the first in a series, always exciting; setting was so exacting yet comfortable I wanted to visit; Gemma & the other characters are full-fleshed, well-rounded yet with human frailties; storyline was intriguing.
My favourite is The Mousse Wonderful Time of the Year. I love Christmas, and I loved the classic country house mystery as well!
impossible to choose just one. I liked them all very much.
Applestrudel Alibi sticks out a bit, at first I missed Oxford and was worried about this new adventure, but once in Vienna I could not put it down. It was wonderful even without the very english setting. I loved the insights into Vienna and the episode with the little chinese girl warmed my heart. I also liked that the chinese mother was shown as a kind human after all, in the end.
Can’t wait for the audiobook and please pass on good healing wishes to Peta Hewitt. She is a brilliant narrator.
So excited for this book! I usually get the audiobooks so I’m patiently waiting for Pearl to get better! So far my favourite in the series is Apple Strudel Alibi!
I am currently reading Wrongfully Infused and loving every word. So far this is my favorite book, but I say that about everyone. I love your writing. Thank you so much for the opportunity to read your books.
Asking which one I like the best is like asking which of my children I like the best I was hooked on the first book and inhaled the rest. Love your characters, the old Biddies, I find so funny.
I’ve loved all the books! I’m in the process of getting them in paperback. I still enjoy turning the pages of a real paper book when I read, especially while sitting outside.
Although hard to choose, I have to go with Muffins and Mourning Tea. I love the antics of the old biddies!! Laughs galore!
I admit I’ve just started this series, so I don’t have a favorite yet. I love the Bewitched by Chocolate series so I’m working on your other books now.
I always love best the last one I’ve read — hence the latest one. In this case, I believe I’ll say #1 A SCONE TO DIE FOR us my most loved
I really like all the books. It is fun to read how Gemma has a sense of adventure and is very inquisitive. Like how she likes to always help the underdog and get justice. If I have to choose only one book it would be The Mousse Wonderful Time of Year. I like that one because finally Devlin & Gemma seem to be in a good place.
Another One Bites The Crust. Book 7. I really enjoy them all. But I also love the play on words. Great series. ‘The Gentle Murders’ books. I also adore Muesli who looks just like my cat.
I love all of them but since I’m from Vienna, Apple Strudel Alibi has a special place in my heart 😉.
That’s hard because I have enjoyed all of them. I guess A Scone to Die For but it’s hard to choose! Thanks for the chance to win! I’m really looking forward to reading your newest book!
The old biddies crack me up. I can’t pick just one. The are all a stand out individually and together as a series. You are an imaginative and clever writer 🥰🥰
I like all of them, bc I like your writing style so much! Maybe The Dough Must Go On edges out over the others though… =)
The Dough Must Go on. The Granny Band had me laughing out loud.
I am one of your biggest fans, The Oxford Tearoom Mystery Series is my most favorite. Love the old Biddies and cherish the relationship with Devlin. I am worried about the rough patch that they are going through presently. Eagerly awaiting the audiobook. I read reach book then listen to the audiobook for the nuance of the spoken words. Still waiting for the release of the latest book in the English Cottage Garden Mystery Series.
Apple Strudel Alibi
I love the Old Biddies… Their bond with Gemma is extremely entertaining and the fact they always get into mischief makes it 👌love them all though!!
Apple Strudel Alibi. Reminds me of my mother in law and my daughter getting into trouble all the time!
Muffins and Mourning Tea because of Muesli.
The one I am currently reading is always my favorite
Apple Strudel Alibi for the funny characters
Whichever Tearoom mystery book I’m reading at the time is my favorite. Fun fact: Even though I’ve been to the UK a few times I’ve never gone to a tearoom for a traditional tea. If I ever get back there I’ll definitely make a point to do it.
The first book as it tells you who’s who and you find out if you like them are not
I’ve only read a few so far, but I liked A Scone to Die for
I LOVE ALL OF YOUR BOOKS! But if I had to pick one, and only one… I would want to have the first of the English Tea Room Series – A Scone to Die For. It is my favorite because it was where I fell in love with all of H. Y. Hannah’s series. Everything from the beach sleuth to the cottage and the Bewitched by Chocolate series. From the very first chapter I was hooked and I have still not found a writer as skilled and amazing as Hannah. I have read dozens of cozy mystery series and she is my 1000% favorite! He plots are always challenging and never predictable! Thank you for making me look forward to new books all the time!
I absolutely LOVE this series! I read a lot of cozy mysteries and this is definitely the top of my top 3!! I binged the series back in 2020 in a week and anxiously await each new installment. Probably my favourites so far have been Two Down, Bun to Go or The Mousse Wonderful Time of the Year. Each installment is more delectable than the last, and the denouement of The Mousse Wonderful Time of the Year reminded me strongly of an Agatha Christie Poirot!! The world is so well built and you really invest in all the major players. I’m as addicted to this series as I am of freshly made tea and scones!!
Absolutely delighted by ‘Wrongfully Infused’ as you have separated Gemma from Devlin. Hurrah! Never liked him, and they are totally incompatible as he is neat and tidy and Gemma, sadly, is a slovenly slob. Please let her link up with the gorgeous Lincoln! The story was very interesting and enjoyable, I have penfriends in Taiwan and am aware they have to be very careful what they put in their letters to me.
Liked all the attention Muesli got, too, Gemma should fuss her more. The end bit with the way Muesli reacted is very typical of a cat. Good stuff. This made it my favourite so far.
